2000 323 Ci purchase???

Hello,

I am considering purchasing a 2000 323 Ci with about 42,000 miles from my local BMW dealership in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a dealer-certified car, warrantied for an additional 3 years/50k miles. They are asking $23,000 to $24,000; will finance at 2.9% for 60 months and definitely pay it off early. Steel grey exterior, light grey leather interior, premium sound/CD, sunroof, tinted windows, 17" premium alloys, automatic.

What do you think? Good deal or not? Previous vehicle was a Land Rover Discovery heavily modified for off-road use (totalled it last week), so this will definitely be a big (fast!) change. I'll be picking up another Land Rover soon to satisfy the off-road urge.

That's about what I paid for my 2000 323i with 44k miles at purchase. CPO too, sounds like a square deal. You can probably find one cheaper at a Non-BMW dealer if you searched around, but it wouldn't be a CPO.

That sounds good for CPO, I bought my 328ci which came with Nav for 26K. It wasn't CPO but it only had 44K miles and I purchased an extended warranty up to 100K miles.

That's sounds like a good deal. I sold mine for about the same price fully loaded with 18' ADR Sterinling rims.

Hmmm, I bought my '01 325i 38K miles with sport & premium package for $24.000 and it's CPO too.

I passed on the 2000 323Ci - I really like the looks of the coupe, but four doors makes more sense with a 3-year old.

This morning I picked up an immaculate 2001 325i with 23,900 miles for $28,000. Jet black, black leather, premium & sports packages. CPO w/ warranty through 2007 / 100k miles.

Nice! Yeah, I rode in a sedan recently and if I carried more than 2 people, a sedan really is so much more convenient.

The seat behind me isn't convienent(to anyone else but me!), but I can sit 3 pretty easily with the 4 door..

I'll have to grab a photo of my seat back, it's almost as bad as that photo that was floating around of Yao Ming's 745i with the driver seat crunched into the back seat.. (I'm 6'5", my knees need room!)

My key reason for buying the 4 doorback in November? My 6 week old little one that I knew was on her way.. (wooooot!)

Blue post us some shots of your 325i! Sounds like you got just as good of a deal on it as the 323Ci you were contemplating.

That 2nd one shoulda worked,(with the img brackets, looks correct at least, no spaces in it right?), I suspect you had an extra ^M or, Enter in there somewhere. The 3rd one worked, you got the last year of the 'pre-facelift' model ('01).
