325es vs. 325i... engine differences?

Looking to make the '86 I don't yet even have in my posession faster. Stock engine is wonderfully smooth, but it feels a tad sluggish. I hear the 325i has somthing like 50 more HP. What's different? Also, are stiff shifters normal in these things?

Why would the passenger side window not roll down? Switch??

Is it common for the HVAC fan to only operate on "HI"?

The "e" designation was for economy, lower revs, better gas mileage, etc. If the shifter is stiff as in too stiff it may be gummed up or the transmission oil may be gummed up. Normally they shift pretty smoothly, I would have that checked. The fan should work on all settings.
