328I Headlight Question

I am doing a halo conversion on my headlights on a 97 328i sport. I heard that you have to get a complete different set of headlights because the lens on the front of the assembly won't come off. Is this true? Is there any way to get off the front lens? Thanks! Steve

Sorry. From my experience with the fog lights, it looks like the entire unit is one piece. The benefit is it keeps the light sealed better than a seperate detachable cover.

Though you should be able to remove the electrical portion and insert the new light bulb. You should only have to change the assembly if the lense is cracked and leaking, like mine, or if you want a new shiney one.

Its not for the foglights, its for the headlights. Anyone else have any actual experience with this? Steve

yeah . . you have to get the ellipsoid healights . . and then put your angel eyes in them.

The front lense is held on with a clip.
