Here I go again. Now everywhere that I have called uses 3M can't find Huper Opitik anywhere around here. I even emailed the Huper Optik company and they won't respond. Even talked with a guy that has a $150,000.00 car and he said he got the 3M tint and would not put anything else on his car.

By the way my trim on the inside around the driver door is hanging on the floor how disappointing for a BMW.

I am sure that there is a Huper dealer in California if not 100's. Some people with 150k cars will cut sun roofs in them using a chainsaw too, does not mean I will. What year is you bimmer and have you figured out the problem with the door trim?

What part of Cali are you in? I know I have read somewhere on this board that they have had it installed in Cali.

Huper did not email me back directly, a local installer emailed me.

Do a search on the BMW board and I think you will find the name of an installer that does Huper. I hope...

I have a 2004 325ci. About the trim I have read others posting about the same problem its caused by the heat. The trim completly came loose. Lets put it this way I have to step over the hanging trim to get out of my car - it's so embarrasing. I called the dealership to schedule an oil change as I only have about 1000 miles to go before it's due to be changed and I thought I could get the trim done at the same time but they said that I have to wait until the end of the month or the oil change would not be covered under warranty. I don't want to have to take my car in twice so the trim will have to wait until then.

What kind of warranty is on the Huper Optik?

It's something like 10 years or lifetime. Can't remember. Regardless, you'll prolly get rid of your car before the warranty runs out.

What city do you live in? I think Huper took a while to get back to me when I first e-mailed them.

you are correct WSU is for Washington State University (Civil Engineer Grad), good catch. I lived in the PacNW for about 10 years and now I am in Gulfport (been her for 2 montsh). First time ever being in the south and I like it.

My wife did her undergraduate work and later taught at WSU, great college. I lived and worked in Lewiston Idaho for 22 years. My father was in the Navy and was stationed in Mississippi, however all his family is from there. The Gulf Coast is a wonderful place except for the humitidy. Small world
