1) No. They're not standard on all cars. Not sure if they're standard on any BMW.
2) Even if it had one and he did kick it, it still wouldn't make a sound. BMW's alarm is retarded in that there's no shock sensor. I could take a bat and bash in every body panel on your car, and as long as I didn't break one of the windows and trigger the motion sensor inside, the alarm would never go off.
If you want an alarm, it's a dealer installed option. It does have a shock sensor. If you tilt the car, it goes off. If you break a window, it goes off. Why it doesn't come on a $40,000 car is apparently greed .
I know for SURE the 3 series alarm does NOT come with a shock sensor. Why it's missing one, I have no idea. I doubt the other models have a shock sensor too altho I'm not positive.
If you tilt the car (like someone towing), it'll go off.
If you break the window, it may or may not go off. Depends if you trip the motion sensor or not.

Here's a link to the installation of the alarm. Notice, no shock sensor. The work around is to splice in a $25 DEI shock sensor unit.
