I have come across a problem with the idle when it's cold. It fluctuates like it is going to completely cut off. sorta like it's hyperventilating... I check the Idle control valve and all seems well...Also, I didnt get an owners manual so I am still learning the simple things. Alll help will be greatly appreciated. Also, can i replace my headlights with silver stars. I own a pair in my Jeep and like the visiblilty.

with my little e30, the vacume throtle advance would stick and muck around when cold, (and sometimes when warm) like start, and then cut out.
I would sugest checking the "cold start valve" (on top of the thermostat and doing simple things like : fuel filter etc. just little costless things.
They probly need changing anyways.
my fix was as simple as lubricating the vacume slide, and thatwas it.
