Bluetooth

What's the latest on Bluetooth and BMW. Just purchased a CPO 04 530i . Would like to use my phone Motorola V400 in the car and have capability to access steering wheel controls, etc.

Should be available for your car, but it isn't cheap. Last time I checked, it was something like $850 if the car did not have any phone wiring. At least that's what my local dealer quoted for my 02 M3.

I installed an aftermarket bluetooth handsfree kit in my '99. Here's a thread about the kit:

Very interesting. I will consider this when the new Motorola RAZR V3 comes out. Shouldn't be a big deal to lose Assist; could probably still use the concierge for the rest of the free first year.
