Looking to get our first BMW and Im waiting till the 06's come out with the new design.....Until then I will browse and learn a little about the 3 series. We plan on getting a 330iX when they are released sometime in Sept/Oct......

Just kind of lounging and finding out all there is about the new 3....I have read a few things on it and it seems like a winner----The big decision will be if we get the Nav package that comes with I-Drive [bmwdance]

Welcome aboard Steve, glad to have you with us. I've always felt that Nav and Xenon lights are a must when it comes to BMW.

Yes I feel the same way!

We just bought a Lexus RX330 with nav and Xenons, all the bells and whistles they offer. Its a very nice car but will probably get sold or traded come end of next year for the Bimmer 330IX:)

Welcome aboard Steve. the new 3er (e90) sounds pretty good. i'm still partial to the looks, but i'll have to see the real thing to really be able to tell.

RX300: i hated how they bundled the Xenon and the Nav together, but they were both really good options. too bad you can't use the nav while you are in motion.. great safety feat, jerkoffs!

one thing i don't like about BMW nav is the fact that you can only enter addresses, and not places to do a general search. (or i just don't know about it, because i rarely use my parents' truck..)

Im hoping the Nav system in the new Gen 3 series will be a New upgraded version as well! Maybe they will invlude that feature along with Voice recognition and all the fancy stuff??

I tell ya if any company want to follow top of the line Navi system, they need to visit Honda/Acura! Especially the Newest Acura RL navi System---simply Awesome and a benchmark to go by......

For 04 you didnt have to get the Nav to have the Xenons, but to get the Adaptive Headlamps (which move when you corner ect....) you had to get the Peformance package. Perf. Package is very nice as you get the Tap shifter along with the Air adjustable suspension....

The adaptive/ moving headlamps that will come on the new 3's will be nice, as they actually work very well when driving at night!

BMW already has adaptive headlights on the 3. They had it before Lexus. It's just Lexus made TV ads that suggested they were the first, but they were the first SUV, not first overall. BMW was first with them.

Its a first for the 3 series isnt it??
Yup. Usually don't get the cool new features on the "bottom" model of a line. But yeah, the 2004 3 series was the first car to get modern adaptive headlight technology.
