Placed an order for a 325xi about a week ago...

How in the world do you survive waiting for this thing? I found myself calculating piston speed at 6000 rpm the other day (about 50 ft/sec, fyi), just to amuse myself. I've read a good part of the bentley manual that I shouldn't be needing for 4 years. I'm sick!

Scheduled for production with no date yet.... aaaahhhhhhhh I can't take it!

P.S. anyone looking to buy an 89 dodge daytona? :)

Mine arrived in NY Sunday, and the boat left NY Monday, so now it's somewhere between NY and NH. Now that it's off the boat I'm not sure how long it will take to get up here and how long the prep is, but it can't be more than a week or so.

I just talked to a customer rep and mine is slated for production mid April, he estimates at the dealer mid to late May. Boy that sounds far in the future.....

Picking mine up this afternoon, I'm looking forward to it but I'll miss my current car. It's a dreary rainy day, I wish it were warm and sunny. I'm also leaving on vacation tomorrow so I won't be able to drive it much until I get back. I would have rather waited until I got back so I would still have something to look forward to.

Congratulations! Since it looks like you are in New York, it should be real quick. It was only a little over a week for me but they had to bring it up to NH and that took a few days.

If ur in NYC, make sure you get strut tower braces for your car. It'll save ur suspension from all dem texas sized potholes.

Thanks, thats a good idea.........The streets in NYC are terrible, I'm turning in my leased Acura TL with 2 bent rims and they had thick sidewalls. I'll have to be extra careful with the Bimmer cause of the 18" rims.

You desparately are in need of BMW therapy. Go to the dealer or a toy store and buy a working model of your car - the metal ones where the hood & doors open, wheels steer, etc. Spend at least an hour a day playing with it. Put it under your pillow when you sleep. This might just get you through until your car arrives. [hihi]

Good Luck!
