Well they last about 6 months a pair... Any idea what brand the dealer uses?
I just had my changed. I should look to see what they put on. Seem to work fine so far. God knows I have put them threw the test lately...

FREE (under maint. warranty) and cheap im guessing??
Hardly. $15 for just the rubber blade insert (have to reuse your old wiper arm and everything). You can get the top of the line ones at autozone (bosch...) for $16 with the arm and blade.

But why? Especially when the dealer does it for free every 6 months...

FREE is key.

Holy shit!! Show me where to get free service on my 89!!! Damn, that would be awesome!!! [hihi]

Honestly if a dealer said they would give me free service for a year or something, like if I won it. I think I would cry [rofl]

The PIAA blades are great, but overly expensive IMO. I have tried several different wiper blades and I find that the Bosch Micro Edge Excel wipers have a really good cost/performance ratio. ANCO HydroClear blades are what I'm using now and they are pretty darn good too.

Although, if you don't mind spending $80 on a pair of wiper blades:

Ok smartass, you responding to my message implied that you were refering to a 2004 e46 not EVERY BMW EVER MADE. So take your sarcasm and stick it where the sun don't shine.

Uh "teeheeheehee Oh my GOSH free service I think im going to cry [:X] [doorpeek] "

I wasn't being a smartass and had no intentions of soundling like it -- loosen up or get lost. I simply said in my original post - replying to yours (which said "free under warranty, or cheap") saying they aren't cheap. Not sure what was so hard to understand [B)]

What will make your wipers work 100 times better is go to Pep Boys and buy a gallon of windshield wiper fluid called "Rain X". It's pink. After using it you'll notice when it's raining most times you won't even need to use your wipers. The rain just beads right off. It's the best stuff!
