He was woundering if i could find out some details on the autocruise function, and also how to change the computer readout from german to english. Can anyone assist in this. thankyou shane [cheers]

I know that it can be done, but I havn't a clue how? Have you tried doing an internet search for his model designation? A lot of times there are web sites that are model specific that will have links to this kind of information. Good luck and welcome.

To use the cruise control is easy. There is a button to the right of the steering wheel with a little picture of a speedometer on it. Simply push this button to activate the cruise control system then, after that, push the same button that is on the steering wheel itself to choose the speed at which you want to travel. On the E38 you can raise/reduce the speed of the cruise control setting with an 'up/'down' button on the steering wheel too - so you don't even have to accelerate with the accelerator! Too easy!

BTW, if you want to deactivate the system, just brush the brake pedal.

i´d like to ferine that explanation a little, if you don´t mind Mr. bonds. When you have the system activated you´ll see a green speedo symbol on the dashboard. when you have reached the speed you want to stay, shortly press the up/+/acc. button. the one that you would use to accelerate.
changes in speed can be done via this +/- button. if you were forced to break and deactivate the cruise control but want to get back to the former speed, press the button that aigain shows a speedo but an additional arrow marking a speed in that grafic.

hope it helps [thumb]
