This may sound stupid, but where is the antenna for the 93 318i. The car has had a complete front-end replacement for the M3 design. The radio does not work due to the antenna not being hooked up. Was not sure if the antenna housing was shaved off with the rest of the body effects, or if it was in a window. I am new with BMW's as you can tell. If it was shaved off then I will run it so it keeps the smooth look, but if this car never had a antenna mounted like the domestic cars(on front fenders, or trunk), i will run it according to the manufacture design. Thank you again.

I like to listen to Q95 in the morning, only reason for radio-thanks for the diagram-I seen that earlier but when they showed the accessory for the antenna(telescoping one) then I wasn't sure.

I will post a pic soon after it is cleaned up-I live on a gravel road, so it gets dirty quick. That way you all can have a picture reference to the car I am posting about

Welcome! Unless it's a convertible, the antenna is embedded in the rear windshield. If you look closely, you will see the antenna wire within the glass.

Convertibles have a stubby one on the pass. side of the vehicle.

Thank you for the welcome-not convertible-so I will run it like it should be-they must have just taken the cable out. Thanks for the information

Antenna was ran in window-tapped into factory antenna wire and spliced with domestic plug in-radio works great now. Just posted pics of the car today-now you have a picture reference to this car. Thanks for the information
