Hi guys. I'm new to this board.
My wife has a 2005 X5 and I was really impressed with the engine. So I became a BMW fan, especially after drving a Chevy Tahoe!
I just purchased a 2001 525i with 73k miles. Just had a level 2 inspection/service done. Besides some very minor damages to the bumpers, the car seems to be in really good shape. The test drive was very good and the engine was solid and strong.
I heard lots of bad things about the maintenence and repairs I have to do on Bimmers at the 80k miles point.
Anyway, I guess I'm just here saying hello and also to try to get some reassurance that I bought a great new used car!
