Hey all I just purchased my first 7 series. I need help on changing the Oil. I have the filters on order and my question is with the exterior canister filter is there any special sequence we use or is it just like any other. 2. How many quarts should it use?

Is there any place I could find a repair manual to purchase.

Its pretty much the same as regular oil change, but you have to replace the O-ring on top of the canister and at the bottom of the canister bolt. These should come with the filter. I don't know howmany quarts a 7- series takes, but it should be in your owners manual. If thats not the case just call your local BMW dealer and they should tell you. You may want to even ask your dealer about a repair manual too. I don't think that bently publishing makes a repair manual for the newer 7 yet. Remeber only to use synthetic oil!
