Howdy Kevin.. Congrats on the job. Im finishing up a tech school myself and hoping to be lucky enough to find a dealership job just as you have. I know all these companies send you to a school for a few weeks before you actually start working. So what do they have you doin if you don't mind sharing?

thanks you guys. im currently going to school too, but im at uti. all the new guys that i work with already graduated from my school and did a post grad program. feels wierd cause im the only one who still hasn't done a bmw program and still at the same level as these other guys. anyway about that, after i graduate from uti they going to send me to a 6 month bmw program called "step" and pay me as if im working there at the dealership time that im in school.

experience in the field is way better then sitting in class learning about theory. i personaly dont really like the school and really im just doing it for the name. STEP program sounds good, there STEP 1, STEP 2, and Fast track. STEP 1 is what you have to get accepted into, you got to have to be like top of the game to get into that. STEP 2 is what my work gonna send me to if i dont get into STEP 1 and they going to pay for and all that stuff. and Fast Track i have a few co-workers that did that i personaly think its not worth it. even though they get paid like $2 more then i do they still at the level where im at now and they paid that like 5 grand to go to.

but yeah this career you could make alot of money. and BMW like one of the highest paying manufactures out there. and it also depends on location and costomers. but then again BMW is all warrenty which sucks!
