New Owner - Accessory Questions

Hello. Just got my 04 325I Sedan a couple of days ago. Trying to figure out a few things and looking through the BMW info it's not very clear on some things.

How does one get the feature to open your garage door built-in? Is there some kind of accessory package or other option that BMW sells or elsewhere? I had the Homelink built-in on my last car a Lexus IS300 and really liked having that over a normal "clicker"

Cellphone -- I keep reading that some kind of feature is available but I'm not clear what exactly this is. Is there a particular cellphone one can get that works through the car itself and can it be taken out and used elsehwere as well?

Sirius Satellite -- what is entailed in adding this to a 325?

Howdy! And welcome!

The garage door opener (or universal transmitter as BMW calls it), is a snap to install yourself, (I'll see if I can dig up the instructions later and post them).

Check Pacific BMW and Circle BMW. Pacific is closer to you and may save on time and shipping costs, but Circle BMW is $5 cheaper. Also, here is a link where the programming was discussed.

Circle BMW has some info on the Sirius satellite radio.

I'm not too sure about the phone, I know it's much better to have it installed when you order a car. I believe that it's fairly expensive afterwards.

Can't wait, I've been wanting that too........"snap to install yourself"..........hmmmm I'll probably burn up the car........I thought at least the instructions on that web site would be in English.......
