Opinions Please????????

My neighbor is buying a 2002 330 (he signs the papers tomorrow) with 50k miles. The car was returned from a lease. Should my friend take out a 36k mile warranty for an extra $3000.

I told him no, IMO he should have the dealership perform an inspection 2 and new brakes, with no Warranty.

What's the word from you guys?

He should wait and buy a CPO. Is he getting really good deal? Is the warranty a factory warranty? $3k seems really high.

Better yet, use the $3000 towards a supercharger, go for the gusto!

He ended up getting the car not taking the 3k warranty but did have the vehicle warrantied through someone else.
