I have been searching around all over to find a Angel Eyes headlight kit. I have found plenty of "Halo Ring" kits. But I am looking for the ENTIRE Headlight enclosure. I have found one at the former mmotorwerks.com site.

But I'm hoping somebody out there has a better option for me. What do you guys think? Oh yeah I'm doing all this for my 2000 3 Series coupe (which makes it even harder to find) Any guidance you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Arg.. Unless you're trying to get away from Halo's for a really good reason, the aftermarket projectors are a little iffy for E46's.. The best kit I've seen is actually from Umnitza (They are the kings of lighting for BMW's), and almost went that route, but decided to stay halo and just do some bulb upgrades.

Check www.umnitza.com they sell projectors w/ built in DDE's that are the best looking ones I've seen for our cars. Dunno if they have them available for your newer car yet, but worth a check!

/edit: For some reason I thought you had a newer car than 2000.. They certainly have projectors for 2000's, I was looking at them myself.. [:)]

Well...

Thanks man, I checked out that umnitza site... and I think I've looked there before. Because all they offer are the actuall DDE/CFFL/whatever they're called rings. I don't want just the rings... I want the entire enclosure. I want to swap out the entire headlights, put in some Xenon or HID while they're out. Do you have any other suggestions? I appreciate the info.

They have entire enclosures, check closer. Unless they no longer carry them they used to be the best folks to get complete replacement projector housings for e36 and e46's. (Heck, any BMW built in the past 15 years)

Check this link, on this page alone there are projector housings w/ DDE's for E46, E36, E34, and E30's. Dig a little more on their site I'm pretty sure they have what you're aiming for. [:)]

I got mine off Ebay. Quick and easy, you get the glass headlamp kits, easy to disassemble, stick the CCFL in yourself, drop in the Xenon bulbs and voila, you're done! Everything for the E36 is available on ebay, im sure its the same for the E46! Its just a couple hours of work no biggie.

If you don't mind me asking, what are the glass headlamp kits that you are talking about? Thanks!
PS: If you can post a link pointing me in the right direction. Thanks!

something like this for the headlamp

something like this for the CCFL rings

Putting CCFL into the headlamps is a very very simple process and its not really worth the surcharge of getting a set of everything done for you already. On ebay you will find dirt cheap prices for both of these things (I didnt pay a lot for them) and you should be able to hook them up to your car without any trouble. The only thing is that since you have an E46 i really am not sure about the kinds of parts you have available to you and whether the process is as easy or not, but i am confident that it probably is.
