Question from a newbie

Hello to everyone. Newbie here so I was hoping I could get a little help. It would be greatly appreciated.

I was wondering what would be the best way to find out when I could get a reserve spot/get on the list for a new car that's going into production. For example: I heard that someone who just got called up by BMW because he had a spot for the M6.

Again, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

To get a position for a model that has a waiting list you have to contact a dealer and place a deposit on the car for him to order it for you. If you want to just purchase a car you need a dealer there as well. When I ordered my first Z3 in 97 I made a $500.00 deposit on the car and they never even cashed the check. They gave it back to me when I paid for the car!
