Hey guys~
I told you that I ordered the Silver Gray X3 3.0i.
I've been looking around and it seemed as if a lot of people prefer the Silver Gray over other colors...
WELL~ I just visited this site where they displayed the X3 in the Toronto Auto Show...it seems to have the Titanium Silver Metallic with the aero package. http://bimmer.roadfly.org/bmw/forums/e36-lounge/4690329-1.html
The Aero package definitely makes the car look slick-er, but since the package hasn't arrived in BMW NA yet (or maybe never? [xx(] ) I would have to think of the car with the black bumpers. Titanium Silver or Silvery Gray?

http://bimmer.roadfly.org/bmw/forums/e36-lounge/4690329-1.html (Titanium Silver(?) from Toronto Auto Show)

Look under Gallery at our forum. Ralphw has nice pics of his Silver Gray

I'm starting to get a little scared(?) if I chose the right color. My car didn't go on production yet, so I'm thinking that I might still have a chance to change my color from Silver Gray to Titanium Silver if necessary...

Thanks in advance!!! [thumb]

Strange that I'm replying to my message, but...I chose the Silver Gray first because I wasn't sure how Titanium Silver would look on the...smaller-body-X5 (?). I liked the titanium silver for the X5s...but never seen the X3 with titanium silver. I was worried that my car may look too 'light' if I got the titanium silver, and therefore went to the Silver Gray. Well, I'd appreciate your feedback ~ =)

Hard choice, they both look really good. I'd choose the Ti Ag simply since it's easier to take care of (dirt doesn't show up as quickly on the lighter colors). Plus, you can add the 3M clear bra and it's practically invisible. On the other hand, the Ag Gray will make the large amount of black plasitc blend in!

Thanks...I know that it's a preference-call... That Toronto Auto Show pic's killing me...lol
The aero package won't show up so quickly to the US market, would they? Even if they do...I'd have to spend additional 3 grands or so to add the package, although it would look nice.
Ti Ag 'will' make the black bumper more visible than the Silver Gray, hence the blending in of the bumper color by choosing the darker body color seems quite reasonable...(?)

What would you think about Silver Gray Metallic with Aero package? [:)] [bash]

Hmmm... WITH the aero package I'd say Ti Ag all the way, but who knows when its coming to the states. Have you asked your dealer?

For those who don't know what heyloo is talking about, this is the aero package!

It's always so cool to get a brand new car. We obsess over every minute detail. Do you find yourself waking up in middle of the night wondering if you made the right choice? been there, done that. [;)]

haha I know!!!!
Ooooooh~ That aero package is a killer~ Have any opinions on Silver Gray Aero? =P Adding another 3 grand 'might' be something think about, though...lol

What do you think about just regular 'as-is', with the black bumper...Ti Ag or Silver Gray? dzervit, you seem to be leaning toward the Silver Gray because of the blending of the bumper, aren't you? [rolleyes]

I might just stick with my current stuff, I guess.......................Grrrrrrr I won't be able to stop thinking about this car until I finally get it! OMG~~~~

Estimated delivery is year/month/week, 2004/03/13. The BMW NA told me sometime around the 21st of March...*sigh... I hope they overestimated the production date for a week or two [V] ...
If it goes on production then, I heard that production takes about a week, shipping takes 16-20 days. A few days doing the prep in NJ for me... If I add everything up...the car'll come approximately a month after its production date, right? Please tell me that it takes less~ [?|]

Thanks guys, you guys da best~ [thumb] [driving]

It appears that the best feature of the aero package is that it eliminates all of black plastic from the front, along the bottom, and at the rear of the X3. This alone would make it worth it to me, just to get away form the Chevrolet Avalanche look. I hate all of the black plastic on the newer cars/trucks. Give me a painted surface that can be waxed and maintained any day!!!

I like TiAg obviously. I think it looks the best on a BMW. Since both colors are extremely common, you won't look any more unique with either. So, I'd just go with the one that's easier to clean and looks better IMO.

Augh~ I think I'll be sticking with the Silver Gray as planned...although the TiAg looks pretty appealing. I'm slightly more appealed to darker colors than lighter ones for daily use...
Thanks guys for the input!!! =)

Titanium silver is very easy to care for. Doesn't show dirt like a dark car, no significant worries about swirl marks with detailing. Personally I like the black/silver combination. If you live in a city then dirt won't be that big of a deal. I doubt many of these so-called SUV's will ever go off road. I almost got ordered dark gray in my 530 but fell in love with a silver 530 on the lot and bought it in a heartbeat. Enjoy your new car. Looks like a lot of fun.

Silver/grey is newer and much harded to find, at least in an M3, I found a couple Titanium M3's which were nice also. But Silver/Grey is My choice [thumb] and willing to wait 3 months.
